Emergency Lighting
BAFE-certified. Life-safety focused. Technically assured.
Emergency lighting is a critical life safety system, and its design carries real responsibility. It must work when normal lighting fails, support safe decision-making, and stand up to scrutiny long after installation.
Park Lighting Design are a BAFE-certified emergency lighting design team, demonstrating independently assessed competency in the design of compliant emergency lighting systems. This accreditation underpins how we approach emergency lighting on every project and provides assurance that it is designed as a life safety system, not treated as an afterthought.
Our role is to support clients and contractors through the complexity of emergency lighting design, ensuring systems are appropriate, compliant, and practical to operate over their full lifecycle.

A Considered Approach to Emergency Lighting
Emergency lighting is not a bolt-on to general lighting. It requires an understanding of how a building operates, how people move through it during an emergency, and where risk genuinely exists.
At Park Lighting Design, emergency lighting is approached as part of the wider life safety strategy. We work with project teams to understand the building, identify critical risks, and design systems that are proportionate, effective, and defensible.
